The Young Choreographer’s Festival

Celebrating 12 Years of YCF on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 at Symphony Space in NYC, 8pm. 2023 Young Choreographers will be announced on April 1st. The Young Choreographer’s Festival’s mission of ‘education + prevention + cultivation’ has, to date, presented over 170 of the dance community’s most up and coming young choreographers; many of whom have gone on to highly successful choreographic careers, where they can be found winning Princess Grace Awards, Capezio ACE Awards, and working regularly in Film, Television, and Concert dance. Described as, ‘The perfect way to get inspired’ by Dance Spirit Magazine, our mission puts YCF at the forefront of dance education and presentation. We aim to educate, foster, and cultivate talented young artists by providing them with the tools, education, resources, and platform to successfully pursue a career in dance. YCF’s Educational Programming Element puts our young choreographers directly in contact with established professionals. We provide selected choreographers with a Mentor to help them throughout their process, private workshop classes, a Talk Back Panel, and rehearsal space.
