New Dialect Summer Intensive 2024

Dancers ages 18+ are invited to join in a series of collaborative, creative process-driven contemporary dance workshops led by trailblazing choreographers and community organizers: Laja Field, Nicole Von Arx, David Flores, Jasmine Hearn, and stephanie szaletel*. Everyday begins with a group circle, where participants and facilitators connect with each other in the round before warming up with an hourlong technique practice like Gyrokinesis®, Budokon Mobility®, or guided improvisation. Dancers then spend 4 hours a day, diving deep into contemporary phrase work, repertory, floorwork, movement generation, physical theater, partnering, and somatic practices led by the extraordinary artists in our line up. Sessions are designed for advanced and professional dance artists, unless otherwise specified as open level*. Multiple registration options are available.
