Like Water for Chocolate Pop Up Book Club

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming event, exclusively for our treasured members and subscribers. On Monday, June 12, at 4:00 PM, ABT will host an exclusive Pop-Up Book Club session via Zoom where we invite you to take part in a captivating discussion around the much-loved novel and now ballet, Like Water for Chocolate.

This session will feature a panel of distinguished guests, including Laura Esquivel, the acclaimed author of Like Water for Chocolate, and two-time Tony Award®-winning choreographer, Christopher Wheeldon. Alongside them, ABT dancers Cassandra Trenary (Tita), Herman Cornejo (Pedro), and Courtney Lavine (Nacha) will share their unique experiences and insights into bringing these vibrant characters to life on the ballet stage. Courtney Lavine and Amy Brandt, Editor in Chief of Pointe Magazine, will be our moderators for the event.
