Admissions open for BAdance Program HfMDK Frankfurt
April 1 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The BAdance program at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts is an eight-semester course of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) academic degree. Coursework is taught in German and English by an international faculty. Students take courses in ballet and contemporary dance techniques, body knowledge and perception, improvisation, partnering, floor-barre®, pointe, stamina, repertoire, applied anatomy, dance studies, and music theory. To support and nurture their artistic growth, critical reflection and the dynamic relationship between practice and theory are central components of the education. The program is supported by a health coordinator and a network of medical professionals. Performance practice is also emphasized. Students develop new creations with internationally renowned choreographers and have opportunities to make their own work. Active partnership with the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company and exploration of William Forsythe’s choreographic legacy are central to the program. Graduates possess the tools, network, and experience to flourish as dance professionals and to bring innovative, socially responsible change to the dance field as a whole. No tuition fees are charged; however, a semester contribution (€339.38) is required. Online Registration: January 15 – April 1, 2026. Live Auditions (upon invitation): June 12 – 13, 2026.
